Degree Show, NCAD 2005
(Dyed Perspex, Cellulose acetate & lacquered wood)

The inspiration for this collection stemmed from discovering my childhood drawings, during the final year of my degree. I decided to use the recurring shapes, colours and forms in these drawings as literal and abstract motifs in the jewellery itself.

The collection consisted of oversized bangles, rings, pendants and beads in cellulose acetate plastic and dyed Perspex. The drawings were encased within the Perspex or engraved & cold enamelled on the surface. Other techniques included the lacquering of wooden beads with dyed floor coating and coloured glitters.
